Media Molecule could debut a new game just for Project Morpheus at E3

Media Molecule could debut a new game just for Project Morpheus at E3

Sony's big plans for the E3 video game extravaganza may have just been leaked.

A secret source spilled the beans to the PlayStation blog Dualshockers detailing Sony's plans with a laundry list of all the games the Japanese company plans to debut.

While software is primarily the focus of the show, Sony has more than a few hardware-focused segments including one for Project Morpheus. The head-mounted display unit made its debut earlier at GDC 2014 only with a few tech demos.

Supposedly we will see a new PS4 title from Media Molecule, the creators of Little Big Planet, designed specifically to be played on Sony's new VR headset.

Sony software to take another bow

Along with giving Project Morpheus its official introduction, the source claims the Sony Entertainment Network and PlayStation Now will get some stage time. The latter made a brief glimpse at CES this January and has otherwise been stealthy rolled out as a beta.

At E3 we could finally hear a firm date for when PlayStation Now will roll out this summer. Price drops are also said to be unveiled for the PS3 and PS Vita at the gaming conference.

Games, games, games

As for games, the source reports we could see new sequels for all of PlayStation's classic franchises including Syphon Filter, Heavenly Sword, Wipeout, God of War, and Uncharted. Sony London is also said to bring a new AAA game out, while Guerrilla Games will finally debut something other than a new Killzone game with its new RPG.

We rarely ever see information so detailed and there's nothing too fantastically imagined such as a Parappa sequel, so this leak appears to be legitimate.

What's more, the source claims the information comes from contacts within Sony's worldwide studios and as well as the New York marketing firm that promotes the PlayStation brand.

Later this June we'll find out if these rumors come true when Sony holds its press conference. Be sure to stay tuned to this space as we'll report everything live from the show as it happens.
