Introduction
One cannot imagine any business, in this day and age, regardless of the size and line of business, being totally offline. Chances are your local fish and chips has decent broadband, allowing it to provide wireless internet to its customers.
For business broadband though, price is not the only thing to consider. Reliability, speed and support are as important, if not more than just price.
Speaking of which, it is worth shopping around and bearing in mind that, like for the consumer market, there might be some hidden costs, feature sets may change over time, all prices are VAT exclusive, speeds will vary, fibre broadband is not available in all post codes and the cost of line rental is often left out.
When applying for new broadband deals, make sure you're not already signed up to a contract you can't get out of - most business broadband contracts are 24-month terms. We opted for Fibre broadband rather than full copper lines because, frankly, the cost between the two is minimal given the performance difference. Now let's get to the best business broadband deals in no particular order.

TalkTalk's top of the range package doesn't break the bank and yet provide with some great features like Talk2Go, a nifty Wi-Fi VoIP App that allows you to receive our landline calls on your mobile even when you're abroad. It has up to four static IPs, gives you unlimited UK landline and mobile calls and they won't charge you for changing business premises (up to two moves every 12-month). It even comes with a package called WorkSafe that provides network-level security solution.

XLNTelecom XLN 80 Max| Unlimited | Fibre |76Mbps | 24-month contract | £16.95 line rental | £21.50 monthly for 6 months, £33.50 afterwards
XLNTelecom may not be a household name but the company, which bills itself as the leading telecoms company serving small business community, focuses on customer service and uses TalkTalk's next generation network. XLN 80 Max offers unlimited landline and mobile calls, multiple email addresses, free online security and free installation. XLN is also bold enough to claim that they will happily match the standard price of a competitor's package.

Virgin Media Business Ultrafast Business Broadband| Unlimited | Fibre |300Mbps | 24-month contract | £0 line rental | £80 monthly
Unlike most of the competition, Virgin Media Business has a fixed price, no catch or no gimmicks. Plus, you get the fastest speeds in the market in 100Mbps increments. So choose between 100Mbps (£40 per month), 200Mbps (£50 per month) or for the power hungry downloaders, the 300Mbps one for £80 per month). Note that there is no line rental fee and support is 24/7. Virgin Media also owns 100% of its network and doesn't share it unlike some of its competitors.

Plusnet Unlimited Business Fibre Broadband| Unlimited | Fibre |76Mbps | 24-month contract | £10.50 line rental | £10 monthly for first 12-months, £33 afterwards
Plusnet is owned by BT and this is a little known fact. What's surprising is that BT has allowed the Yorkshire-based company to grow and prosper and find its own little niche. You get a free domain name with unlimited email addresses and 250MB webspace, Plusnet's very own Safeguard security solution, UK-based 24/7 support and, should you opt for the UK anytime package for £4 extra, unlimited calls to UK landlines, free calls to 0845 and 0870 numbers.

Relish Business Fibre Broadband| Unlimited | 4G |50Mbps | 12-month contract | £0 line rental | £25 monthly
Relish is not your usual business broadband provider. The company, which is backed by one of the biggest telecommunication companies in the world, covers London only (you have to check coverage before) and doesn't charge you for landline because there isn't any. Instead, it uses 4G LTE network to provide decent upload and downloads. There are no download limits and you can get it within as little as 17 hours usually. You get a static IP address as well.

DirectSave Telecom Business Fibre Broadband| Unlimited | Fibre | 80Mbps | 24-month contract | £14.95 line rental | £39.95 monthly
DirectSave Telecom (or DST) doesn't have any regular offers or deals like many of its competitors. Instead, it has a low price and sticks to it. Its top of the range business offer is just as good – at least on paper – as the competition but for a smaller monthly cost. You can also save a lot more by going for the Business Talk option that offers free daytime UK calls for an additional £7.50 per month. As with other solutions here, a static IP address is throw in for free.

Zen Unlimited Fibre 2 | Unlimited | Fibre | 76Mbps | 12-month contract | £17 line rental | £25 monthly
Zen's offer surprises with its short contract (only 12-months) and the fact that it offers the flexibility to be taken with or without line rental. Unlike some rivals, it doesn't throttle bandwidth at any time of the day; users looking for extra support can buy the Critical care package for an additional £34 per month to get 24-hours technical support, throughput speed assurance and 99% uptime warranty. Zen is one of the very few here that sell web hosting services as well.

Toople Business Fibre XL | Unlimited | Fibre | 76Mbps | 12-month contract | £17.50 line rental | £19.50 monthly
Toople is a relative newcomer in the crowded business broadband market. However, it has the expertise to succeed with former Talktalk and BT staff at the helm and wants to increase its market share, which explains its aggressive pricing. Its most expensive package costs only £37, that's including line rental and doesn't have any apparent catch. There is a connection and P&P charge of £49.99 but that's standard across the industry.

Daisy | Unlimited | Fibre | 76Mbps | 24-month contract | £12.99 line rental | £35 monthly
The one thing you get with Daisy is no setup fees or router fees or activation fees. You still need to pay for the router postage though but that's pretty common. Support is UK-based and 24/7 plus they have an 8-hour target fix time. You get capped calls to up to 33 countries (20p for one hour) with free itemised online billing and reporting and free line transfers. As always, you get one free static IP and does implement traffic management across its network.

BT Premium Infinity | Unlimited | Fibre | 76Mbps | 24-month contract | £15.90 line rental | £40 monthly
BT is the only broadband provider that didn't bundle a free static IP address (that will be £5.50 extra) but they are also the only one that threw a free Microsoft Office 365 license in (Business Essentials). You might not use the former but you will very likely use the latter. Like for all business offers, you get priority fault repair, 24/7 technical support and BT's very own PC support (for up to three devices). BT also allows you to access more than five million hotspots across the country for free.
